You think your mix is DSFL worthy? Send us your mix!!!


Rules for submission:

1) Genre: All mix submissions MUST contain one or more of the following genres:

Underground Hip Hop (Dilated Peoples, Brother Ali, Jedi Mind Tricks, etc)
Hip Hop (Mos Def, EPMD, Jay-Z, etc)
Funk (James Brown, Sly Stone, Parliament, Zapp,etc)
Soul (Sharon Jones,Teddy Pendergrass, Kylie Auldist, Amy Winehouse, etc)
RnB (Sade, Maxwell, Anthony Hamilton, Jill Scott, etc)
Bboy Breaks (Jimmy Castor Bunch, James Brown, etc)
Disco (Donna Summer, Love Unlimited Orchestra, KC and the Sunshine Band, etc)

Note: I love 90's Hip Hop but if your 90's "classics" mix includes more than four songs listed in the tracklist here. I won't post it! Every other deejay has a "Classics" , "Old School" mix that includes the same songs over and over again. Creating a mix with the same old radio hits is a sure way of NOT having your mix featured on DSFL.

In addition, Domeshots And Fat Laces is a Hip Hop site thus please do not send any mix that has the following genres:

EDM (House, Dubstep, Trance,etc.)
Top 40 "Urban" R&B (Rihanna, Beyonce, etc)
Top 40 Rap (Dirty South/Trap/Crunk/Hyphy/Hipster Rap, etc.)

2) Tags: All mixes must be properly ID3 tagged. See the image below for details.



Please do not use ALL CAPS, it makes you appear dumb and arrogant. It doesn't matter if several famous deejays have done so in the past,it still makes you look inept and childish.

3) Bitrate: All submissions must be in mp3 format and contain a bitrate of no less than 192kbps.

4) Mix Cover: All mix submissions must include a Mix cover. Cover image dimensions should be no less than 400x400 and no more than 1000x1000 px in jpeg or png format.

5) Tracklist: All mix submissions must include a tracklist with the only exceptions being Bboy Breaks and Funk mixes. However, a tracklist for those type of mixes is highly preferred.

6) Hosting: Please do not send me a link to your mixcrate and/or mixcloud page to download your mix. Use one of the following sites to upload your mix submission:

7) Free Downloads: The vast majority of our audience are mixtape collectors thus all mix submissions must be available for free downloads.
