Well what can one say about one of best DJ Crews in world of turntablism, The Beat Junkies. I first heard of these guys from my man Bee,(legendery Inland Empire graf writer), back in 1994. He was telling me of a group of DJs from the OC , who had radio show that could get down on the mix. He also was saying how this guy named Babu who won the DMC California Championship just got down with this crew as well as this other guy from the bay named Shortkut who was down with the Junkies & Q bert. Little did I know then that these unknown peeps would go on to conquer the world of turntbalism & deejayng.

I still remember hearing most of the crew spin on 92.3 FM The Beat back in 95 and 96, including Ms. Symphony, when she was still spinnin. In fact I still have on cassette Icy Ice's first time on the "Mixmasters Show" show back in 1996. According to former Beat Junkie Havik, Symphony now is married with children. Other than "Scratch Monopoly" from Return of the DJ vol 1 and the documentary "Nobody Knows My Name" By Rachael Raimist, I can't think anything she is heard on. Hopefully somebody who has some early Vestax battle vids featuring her will post them on youtube someday.
