Author/Lecturer Adisa Banjoko “The Bishop Of Hip Hop” has decided to release his 2005 book in PDF format for free earlier this year. When this book was released Adisa teamed up DJ Mike Relm to produce a “Lyrical Swords Westside Rebellion” mix CD to promote the book. I still trying to track the mix down. If anyone has it please send it my way and by all means add this book to your library as well Adisa’s Lyrical Swords: Hip Hop And Politics in The Mix.

Lyrical Swords Vol. 2: Westside Rebellion is a powerful, soul stirring collection of essays and interviews on Hip-Hop, chess, martial arts and non-violence. The Hip-Hop Chess Federation was born shortly after the release of this book. It features interviews with some of the worlds hardest artists including RZA, GZA, Slick Rick, Nas, Balance, Frontline, EA Ski, Casual, Ray Luv, Dave Camarillo, Gumby from OTM, Will.i.am from Black Eyed Peas, Styles P, Spider Loc, Jamel Shabazz, Grand Master Maurice Ashley, Kid Peligro, Run DMC and Jam Master Jay, Dilated Peoples, DJ Qbert, Mix Master Mike from the Beastie Boys, Imam Zaid Shakir, Paris, Afrika Bambaataa and many others…
