As shocking as the death of Guru was Teena Marie's sudden death is unfathomable. Known throughout world Soul & RnB lovers worldwide Lady T had an acceptance few artists ever achieved. Although in every genre fans have their favorites it's rare that one artist would be universally accepted (and loved) by all fans of that genre. Teena Marie was one those few artists. So many classic songs and sung with so much passion and soul there definitely will never be another talent like her.

At the time this writing (Wednesday afternoon) there aren't many Teena Marie mixes but I found a good mix of her music by Chicago's DJ Victor Salazar .

Though I was thrown a little with the inclusion of Ebony Eyes by Rick James. A song rumored that Teena Marie sung background vocals for but you would hardly even notice. Also the exclusion of some of Teena's most known tunes like Portuguese Love, Dear Lover or even Fire & Desire. Anyhow it's great reflection of her music.
