Break DJ Leacy & Skye - First Contact

Last Friday marked the seventh anniversary of the death of Break DJ Leacy. I can't front say I was aware of DJ Leacy before his death nor that I heard many of his mixes however from his reputation and status among b boys and brek lovers the man deserves to remember for what a brought to UK Hip Hop & Hip Hop culture in general.

In this "First Contact" mix Break DJ Leacy & Skye rock some serious breaks multi-track style. I couldn't find any info on when this mix was made other than it was released by Armory Records (Armory Massive) & Freestyle Session. Since Freestyle Session began in 1997 and Armory Massive didn't exist until 2002 this mix had to be released sometime after that. Moreover I couldn't find a complete tracklist but I was able to discovered a partial tracklist for the mix.

peace, the First Contact Mix was made in 1997. All of Leacy's mixes were released independently first by him until Freestyle Sessions asked could they strike a deal and distribute them with their logo on it.

Nice site!
