This edited live recording is a rare piece of LA Hip Hop history. In June of 2000 DJ Cut Chemist, DJ Numark, DJ Dusk, Marvski (Fantastic Four) and DJ Shadow brought their talents together for one night at LA's famed The Rootdown. As you can imagine there is plenty of solid Funk and Hip Hop tunes being mixed by some stellar deejays.

"This was not long after Cut Chemist & Shadow’s legendary “Brainfreeze” show hit LA and the city was still buzzing. It was also a birthday celebration for Root Down regular, the seminal photographer B+ of Mochilla. Oh yeah, Prince Paul was mingling in the crowd as well. This recording has not been heard for over a decade. It’s a time capsule that’s timeless.
